Fraudsters are impersonating RichAds to steal money from affiliates and advertisers. We’ve already heard about three scamming cases, and we want to prevent any new ones.

In this article, we’ll provide a complete guide on how to spot a scam and protect yourself.

Beware of scammers pretending to be RichAds

Some people online are pretending to be RichAds representatives. They use fake accounts, fake websites, and messaging apps like WhatsApp to contact users. They strive to trick you into sending them money, and they succeed several times.

This type of fraud is common across the advertising and affiliate industry. Scammers know that our users regularly make payments, which makes you a target.

The problem is that impostors look very convincing. They may copy our logo, use similar names, and even build fake payment pages, but once you send money, it’s gone, and the real RichAds can’t help with a return.

How scammers typically work

Scammers are smart and may adjust their tactics to eliminate your doubts. However, in most cases, they follow the same scenario:

  • They reach out first via WhatsApp, Telegram, or other messengers;
  • They offer special deals, discounts, or “exclusive” ad packages and create urgency (“pay now or lose your spot”);
  • They send you a payment link to a fake website;
  • Once the payment is completed, they clear the chat and disappear.

To protect yourself, always stay careful and double-check the source before sending money. You can find the complete list of RichAds official accounts below.

Real scam examples

We’ve gathered several specific cases involving fake accounts that pretended to be RichAds:

Fake WhatsApp representatives

Several users were contacted by fake “RichAds representatives” on WhatsApp. Fraudsters told the user they had “registered with RichAds” and needed to pay a registration fee to activate their account. They sent a payment link that looked official but led to a fake website like me.nestlink.co.ke/richads.

RichAds doesn’t work like this! RichAds never charges any registration fees – you top up your account for campaign launch.

Fake WhatsApp group chats

We’ve found WhatsApp groups using the name “Rich Ads” that are not run by us. These groups invite users to join private chats where scammers send promotional content – images and videos – and instruct to post them to the user’s WhatsApp Status. They promise payment for every view.

Keep in mind: RichAds does not operate any WhatsApp groups, and we will never ask for payments through messaging apps. Also, we do not run schemes where users post ads to their personal accounts and earn money per view.

Look-alike brands using RichAds name

Not really a fraud, but still may be confusing. Some independent companies use names very similar to ours. For example, there is an Indian advertising agency called RichAds Media that has no connection to RichAds whatsoever.

Before you work with any company, make sure you are on its official website. For RichAds, it’s https://richads.com/

How to spot scammers early

You’ll know that it’s a fraud if you’ve been asked to:

  • Pay through WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other messenger
  • Send money to a third party or private individual
  • Use payment links sent through chat or email outside your dashboard
  • Join a private group to complete a transaction
  • Share your account password or payment details over chat.

RichAds will never ask you to do that! We never contact our users on social media for payment and never provide any additional advertising services outside our official platform.
