Gambling and Push Ads: How to make a 102% ROI

Recently, I haven't heard much about push notifications and popunders in gambling, so it became
very interesting for me to go a little deeper into this story and understand why there is a lot
of it in other verticals, but we don't usually run them.
I began to study articles, services, cases, and the final point of learning was MAC 2021 in
Moscow, where I talked with the guys from RichAds. They said advertisers are actively running
gambling using push notifications (the casino is in the top 3 verticals in RichAds)! I decided

Solution
Let's start from the very beginning: what are push notifications? These are notifications that
lead directly to the landing page, be it a casino or some other niche. If we work with a
product, everything is transparent and clear: we bought the product and received a payment. And
at a distance, it becomes clear which audience is better to use, which placements, devices,
cities, and so on, to exclude. In gambling, things are a bit different.
Here we bring the user to the casino, but it is crucial that the player is active and brings the
maximum profit to the casino. But since the user does not have a reverse entry point to the
casino, the quality of traffic suffers. Therefore, for push notifications, advertisers either
give bids two times lower or do not accept this type of traffic at all.
What to do? It is necessary to maintain the quality of traffic and make the
player not just once click our referral link and make a deposit but allow him to do it
permanently.
I found two options, one of which I will tell you about:
After each day of the campaign’s running, analyze traffic and save only those settings
that bring conversions at an acceptable price.
Webview / PWA applications. In this case, we can adjust the quality of traffic to the
level that, when analyzed, the advertiser will see a higher percentage of repeated
deposits and increased activity compared to the direct link campaign.

Experience With Push Ads
I chose the BetBoom offer on Ukraine at the standard rate of $38, where I spent
about 16 FD. As
a result, I earned $608 while investing about $300.
Please pay attention that initially, I invested more, but I lost the first money due to
ignorance of the settings and without having time to consult with the manager. Don’t repeat my
mistakes! The traffic was gone, so we did not consider those deposits. Let’s speak about my
earnings after I set up everything correctly.

Initial Settings and First Results
Settings depend on the target audience. If you direct traffic to the link, your way out is to
start running a campaign on a broad audience and then, using statistics, turn off all the
settings you do not need. And if you work with apps, it's best to target devices with a fresher

start, I had about 15 creatives, but in the end, there were only two left (shown above,

Operating systems: Mac, iOS (10+), Android (9.0+), including tablets, but
excluding Windows entirely (on this OS, I got empty clicks). Here's what I enabled:
Device languages: Russian, Ukrainian, English;
Mobile operators: Kyivstar, lifecell, Vodafone Ukraine; (according to
statistics, it is clear which operators were used initially, which ones were excluded and
why):

settings.

like other traffic sources. It is possible to run even through applications, simply targeting the owners
of a particular device to install the application. And then work through the funnel (push notifications,
icons, etc.). Currently, I continue to work with push ads, I try to run traffic through the
applications, and I get interesting results from the start.
You can avoid the difficulties of working with other sources and look for alternatives. On push
notifications, I got a profit and a result to work and increase my earnings. And the most significant
advantage is the long-term work: if you set up settings close to perfect, then you'll have just to make
deposits and monitor the results.
