Whitelist meaning
Adding sources to a whitelist in advertising is a process of targeting only specific traffic sources that bring conversions at a desired price within a campaign. This optimization technique allows to target only sources that convert.
There are three groups of sources that exist at RichAds:
- Subscribers lists;
- Publishers;
- Sites.
Basically, subscribers list is a group of sources that consists of publishers, which in its turn include different sites.

Where is “Whitelist” function on the platform?
There are several ways to add converting sources to a whitelist at the RichAds platform.
Let’s have a look at all of them to understand how to use whitelist.
- Go to Optimizer interface by clicking on the name of the desired campaign.
You just need to choose the desired sources group (publishers, sites, SSP) and press “Paused” button to turn it into “Active”.
- Choose the best subscribers lists in the “Sources” section.
This applies only to subscribers lists, you just need to click on a tick in front of the the most converting SSP, as easy as this.
Important: you need to choose subscribers lists first, as without this you won’t be able to add publishers and sites to a whitelist. You can contact your manager for free whitelists for this or that offer.
- Add the sources to “whitelist” section within the campaign.
This applies only to publishers and sites. You need to add the source ID (32-digit code) in the format 1 line – 1 source, without additional characters and spaces.
Important: It’s better to start whitelisting from bigger entities — first SSPs, then publishers, and finally sites not to cut off too much traffic that may work nice later.

Features for automated whitelisting at RichAds
The manual whitelisting process may take a lot of time and effort, that’s why there are features at the platform that allow to speed up and automate the process.
Performance Mode
This is the easiest way possible to automate the whitelisting process, the Performance Mode feature creates whitelists automatically depending on your settings and renews them daily.
It’s crucial to know that the tracker is optional, the algorithm works well both with and without it.
Target CPA
Last but not least, the best way to target only specific working sources is to use the Target CPA algorithm. It allows you to target only sources that bring you conversion at the best price, again you just need to choose settings and targeting, and simply get profit, no more actions are required from you.
In this case you need to set up tracking to make the algorithm work.
